Here's What We Can Help With

New roofs, storm repairs and insurance claims keep us busiest. But we're happy to help with any of these. Pick one, or just call and tell us what's up.

Easy as One, Two, Three

  1. Call and chat

Tell us what you've noticed. A drip, some shingles in the yard, a storm last week. We'll find a daylight time that works for you and come take a look.

  2. Look, photos, price

We check the whole roof and the attic, take pictures of anything that's wrong and walk you through them. Then you get a written, itemized price. Storm damage? We'll put the claim photos together and meet your adjuster too.

  3. Build and tidy

On install day we cover your plants, take the old roof off, fix the deck and put the new roof on right. When we're done, we sweep for nails with a magnet and haul every scrap away.

Why Folks Around Here Call Us

We keep it simple. Treat people right, put it in writing and stand behind the work.

  • A standard warranty on every roof

Each roof we build carries a standard warranty, baked right into the price. Want extra peace of mind? There are additional shingle and workmanship warranty options too, and we'll walk you through each one so you can pick what fits.

  • You'll never be left wondering

One person looks after your job from the first hello to the last handshake. Calls get returned, you'll have a firm start date, and we'll send short updates as the old roof comes off and the new one goes on.

  • A price you can actually read

Your estimate lists the materials, how much of each, the labor, and what we'd charge per sheet if rotted decking turns up. You agree to it before we start, and nothing gets added without a conversation first.

Proudly Serving Berkeley Lake and Our Neighbors

Berkeley Lake is a quiet little city in Gwinnett County, all rolling hills, winding roads and homes tucked among tall pines and hardwoods around the water. That tree cover is lovely, but it means more limbs on roofs, more leaves in gutters and more shade holding moisture. From here we head up Peachtree Industrial Boulevard to Duluth, Suwanee and Johns Creek, over to Peachtree Corners and Norcross, and south toward Chamblee, Doraville, Tucker and Lilburn. Spring and summer storms bring hail and gusty wind to all of them, and we're glad to help wherever you are.

Homes among the trees

Lots of shade and leaf litter? We pay extra attention to gutters, moss and soft spots.

Hills and steep drives

Tricky access is no problem. We plan for it so there are no surprises on your bill.

Questions Our Neighbors Ask

Quick, honest answers to the stuff we hear all the time.

Do I still owe something out of pocket on a roof claim?

Most of the time, yes. Homeowners policies usually spell out a share you cover yourself on any approved claim, and a roof is no exception. That amount is yours to pay, and we can't erase or absorb it, so steer clear of anyone who says they can. Our part is getting the rest of the claim documented thoroughly.

Can you put a roof on when it's cold or rainy?

Cold weather, yes, within reason. Shingles seal more slowly when it's chilly, so we follow the manufacturer's guidance and hand-seal when needed. Rain, no. We watch the forecast closely and never leave a roof open when wet weather is coming.

What's the difference between 3-tab and architectural shingles?

3-tab shingles are thin, flat and uniform, the kind you see on a lot of older homes. Architectural shingles are made in layers, so they're thicker, heavier and have more depth and texture. They also tend to handle wind better. Architectural is what we install.

What does a new roof cost?

Every roof's a little different. Its size and pitch, the layers coming off, any rotten boards underneath and the material you pick all move the number. We'll measure, snap photos and hand you a written, itemized price so you can see where each dollar lands.

What do ACV and RCV mean on my claim?

ACV stands for actual cash value: the payout reflects your old roof's worth after years of wear are subtracted. RCV, replacement cost value, covers what a similar new roof costs, often paid in two rounds, first the depreciated amount and later the held-back balance once the job wraps up. Check your policy to see which kind you carry.

How can I tell if hail hit my roof?

From the ground, often you can't. Up close, hail leaves dark spots where the granules got knocked off, sometimes soft to the touch, plus dents on vents, gutters and metal flashing. The slopes facing the storm usually take the worst of it. That's why a hands-on inspection is worth it.

Is a metal roof worth the money?

If you're staying put for a long time, it can be. Metal costs more up front, but it's tough in wind, sheds rain fast and needs very little care. If you might move in a few years, shingles are usually the better deal. We're happy to price both.

Do I need a permit for a new roof?

In many Georgia cities and counties, yes, a full replacement needs a permit, while small repairs often don't. It varies by where you live. When one's required, we pull it and handle any inspection the city wants.

Can you just lay new shingles over my old ones?

We don't recommend it. Going over the old roof hides the decking, so soft spots go unfixed, and it adds weight. Taking it down to the wood lets us check everything and install the new roof the right way.
