Roof Inspections Around Berkeley Lake
Want to know what's going on up there? We'll check it over and show you.
Know How Your Roof Is Really Doing
Roofs are a bit like teeth. Nobody thinks about them until something hurts, and a regular checkup saves a lot of grief. That's what an inspection is. We start up top, walking each slope that's safe to stand on and getting nose-close to the shingles. We're looking for bald spots where the grit has worn off, edges that curl, cracks, hail dings and loose tabs. Then we check the metal that seals the joints, along walls and down the valleys, along with every pipe and vent and the rubber boots that wrap them. Edges, the peak and the gutters get a once-over too. After that we duck into the attic, because the underside of a roof often tattles first: dark stains on the boards, insulation that feels damp, pinpricks of daylight around nails, or air so hot and still you can feel it. Anything that catches our eye gets a photo. Back on solid ground, we'll flip through the pictures with you and sort them into what's normal for a roof that age, what needs fixing soon and what can ride for a while. And if your roof's in great shape, we'll happily say so. You keep the photos either way.
